About James
My career has been built on one core belief: great teams don't happen by accident. I help organizations build enterprise sales teams that actually perform — not just hit numbers, but grow, collaborate, and stay.
My management philosophy draws from organizational communication research (turns out I do use what I learned in that USC Master's program). But in practice it's pretty simple: find what people are great at, then get out of their way and give them the tools to shine.
I've worked across open source software, cloud computing, AI & machine learning, supply chain & logistics, financial services, healthcare, insurance, higher education, transportation, and digital experience — at small startups and large global enterprises. Which means I've seen a lot of different kinds of problems, and I know how to help teams navigate them without losing momentum or morale.
Originally from West Covina, CA, now settled in Chino Hills and a proud dad of two. I also lived in NYC for a decade but am a Los Angeleno through and through. 🌴
I suit up — literally. I'm an active volunteer with the 501st Legion, the world-renowned Star Wars costuming non-profit. We visit children in hospitals, fundraise for those in need, and bring a galaxy far, far away to people who need it most. It's the best thing I do outside of work.
